The natural wonder is historically famous as a honeymoon destination, these days more like a countryside, but it also attracts a wide variety of visitors, especially families. The city's tourist area is centred around Horseshoe Falls (the Canadian waterfall named after its arched shape) and American Falls, both of which rise in the Niagara Gorge.
With the addition of a new casino complex in 2004, finer hotels and restaurants have followed, adding a touch of sophistication; however, Niagara Falls is primarily a tourist destination and not a cultural one.
Niagara Falls in Canada caters to tourists by offering a host of exciting, thrilling and surprising attractions, such as the famous old Hornblower Tours, the Whirlpool Aerocar or the IMAX cinema.
