Estimated reading time: 3 minutes.
We know that the current situation has been difficult to cope with and even more so if it is a question of economic solvency. On this occasion we will show you the jobs in greatest demand during this COVID-19 crisis. At Educonnecting we want to keep you informed about all the updates that will be presented.
Among the aids provided by the Australian government is the Jobs Hub platform, where you can find out about current jobs in all sectors. In this rapidly changing labour market, the aim is to support companies and people looking for work during these times.
While many companies have been negatively affected by COVID-19 and are reducing their workforce, there are some areas of the economy that have a higher demand for workers.
Within these areas they are found:
- Health services.
- The supermarkets.
- Agriculture.
- Elderly care.
- Childcare.
What they are looking for are people to carry out this type of work in order to help deal with this pandemic.
To take into account if you have any of these situations:
- The Australian government has removed for the time being the rule that prevents W&H Visa holders from working for the same employer for more than 6 months, as long as they work in demanded sectors.
- If you are an international student you will have a special permit of 40 hours per week to be able to work (until May 1st 2020)
- If you were fired and have doubts about whether or not you are entitled to compensation, it is best to contact Fair Work Ombudsman, quienes te darán toda la información que requieres.
